Denise de Ridder
UU – Psychology – appointed 2002 – Marie Curie – NWO TOP grants – founder Behavior & Institutions
Denise de Ridder is Professor of Psychology at Utrecht University. She is an internationally recognized expert on self-regulation of behavior and behavioral public policy. De Ridder has received funding for multiple research projects with strategic relevance for behavioral policy making, including the Marie Curie Initial Framework on Consumer Competence, the FP7 TEMPEST project, and several NWO TOP grants. She is founder of the Behavior and Institutions platform at UU. De Ridder was Erskine International Fellow at the University of Canterbury and has received the Distinguished International Affiliate Award of the American Psychological Association. Read more
Henk Aarts

Henk Aarts is Professor of Psychology at Utrecht University. He is an internationally recognized expert on habits, goals and decision making. Aarts has been awarded with several prestigious grants, including NWO VIDI and VICI grants. He was chair of the Neuroscience and Cognition Focus Area and currently leads the Human-AI Alliance at Utrecht University. Aarts has been a research fellow at Harvard University and is elected Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science, the Society for Experimental Social Psychology, and the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. Janneke Gerards

Janneke Gerards is Professor of Fundamental Rights Law at the Montaigne Centre for Rule of Law and Administration of Justice of Utrecht University since 2016. Her research focuses on fundamental rights, equal treatment law, judicial review and the rule of law. Gerards also is deputy Judge in the Appeals Court of The Hague, member of the Netherlands State Commission against Discrimination and Racism, member of the Advisory Board of the Netherlands Human Rights Institute, and member of the Social Sciences Council of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. Caroline Hummels
TU/e – Design – appointed 2011 – multiple Dutch and European grants - Research through Design pioneer
Caroline Hummels is Professor of Design and Theory for Transformative Qualities at Eindhoven University of Technology. She is an internationally recognized pioneer in the field of Research through Design, resulting in two prestigious NWO funded research programs. Hummels is Director of d.centre|EU, where she has developed new practices and fieldlabs for longitudinal, multi-actor experimentation. Her work has been presented at exhibitions all over the world, including the World Expo in Milan, the EU Design Days in Brussels, and the Dutch Design Week. Read more

Tine De Moor is Professor of Social Enterprise & Institutions for Collective Action at the Rotterdam School of Management since 2020. She specializes in research on institutions for collective action. De Moor has been a member of the Dutch Young Academy and the European Young Academy, and president of the International Association for the Study of Commons. She is co-founder of the International Journal of the Commons, Affiliate of the Institutional Grammar Research Initiative at Syracuse University, and Affiliated Faculty Member at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Lars Tummers
UU - Public Administration - appointed 2018 - Marie Curie - VENI - VIDI
Lars Tummers is Professor of Public Administration and Organization Science at Utrecht University. He has received multiple grants for his research on behavioral public administration and citizen-state interactions, including a Marie Curie Grant for study at UC Berkeley and NWO VENI and VIDI grants. Tummers was one of the founders of the Journal of Behavioral Public Administration and he is associate editor of Public Administration Review. He has won various prizes, including the Praemium Erasmianum award for his cum laude PhD thesis. Read more
